Still going the ‘local’ movement.
First off, a huge thank you to everyone who came along to our Foodpreneurs event at Fed Square as part of the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival. We saw you scrawling ideas in notebooks and can only imagine the food startups that are bubbling away in your minds. The event wouldn’t have been what it was without the insights of our speakers and the hard yakka of our volunteers, so thanks to you all too. If you have any feedback about the event, drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can start planning the next one!
We’ve got some long weekend reading from you from around the country. A farmer puts in his two cents about Meat Free Week, a dairy springs back to life by claiming ownership over the processing process and the NSW food bowl is showcasing its best. Stonefruit growers offer insider knowledge of the Riverina and we uncover the greatest jams, preserves and honey in NSW.
We’ve met a lot of new and interesting people this month – and those we couldn’t meet, we tweeted.
